I am taking an Entrepreneurship class at Binghamton University and the class revolves around a business plan competition. My idea for a new company, BScene, is now the basis for one of eight teams. Our mission is to host the best parties for upperclassmen at the area’s higher education institutions, graduate students, and young professionals. We will work with local businesses and organizations to make these parties happen.
We are submitting our business plan on Tuesday and hopefully will be competing at the business plan competition later this semester. My teammates and I are very excited about the company. We created a Facebook page two days ago and already have over 100 “likes”. We started talking to a few business owners in downtown Binghamton about hosting our first event, and are in touch with two different graduate student organizations in hopes of securing co-sponsorships.
I will keep this blog updated with the latest events and other things to note about the company development!
