I went to the Mayoral Candidate Forum at the First Corinthian Baptist Church in Harlem this evening, co-sponsored by the Community Service Society. The forum, hosted by Brian Lehrer, was about “What’s In It for Low-Income New Yorkers?”
This was the first Mayoral forum I’ve ever been to, and I’m glad I went to see how they responded (or not) to questions about living wage, stop-and-frisk policies, affordable housing, etc. Now that I live in the city I should really learn the issues and where the candidates stand, and will be doing my homework!
