Photoblog: Washington, D.C.

Here are a few photos from my trip to D.C. in August. I have been there before, this trip was mostly to see some friends who live near Dupont Circle, and do a little bit of touring.

The Phillips Collection

The Phillips Collection, in walking distance of Dupont has a wonderfully small collection of Modern Art. It is free during the week!

I treated myself to a half sandwich / half salad at Tryst, the cafe inside the museum, for lunch.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial was really stunning, as if he had moved the white stone out of the mountain himself, rather than having been carved. It was an honor to see this newest memorial.

There you have it – short and sweet! I hope to be back soon to D.C. to see more.
